Joining NVLSA is easy. There are no dues and no obligations, and being a member is a good way to stay informed on the latest developments, as we issue regular e-mail communications. If all you want is these updates, just give us your e-mail address. However, if you can be a more active participant, please fill out the Member Registration Form , which will give us a little better idea about how you might be willing to participate.
Yes, we have expenses, and yes, some members send us money now and then, which we appreciate, and spend only on telephone bills, website maintenance, mailings, advertisements, and the direct expenses of special projects designed to achieve our political objectives. NVLSA is an all volunteer organization, has no paid staff, no office rent, and no desire to accumulate a treasury any larger than necessary to cover actual expenses. When we need money to finance a special project, we issue a request for pledges, and those members wishing to support a particular project can contribute. In this way, only those projects that merit support get funded, and there is no risk that your contributions will be spent on something you don't wish to support.
Welcome to NVLSA. We value your input. We want to know what you think. We never embark on any venture without polling our membership first. We try not to speak for you unless we are very clear about what you want us to say. We believe that our strength lies in finding and holding common ground, and in taking only those positions that we can all support. We firmly believe that no one should ever be considered the sole spokesman for NVLSA, and that we will be more clearly heard if we speak with a thousand individual voices. Please join NVLSA today.
