Fireplaces Prohibition on wood burning fireplaces in new construction - The Bay Area Air Quality Management District proposed that the Board of Supervisors enact this restriction at the County level, but the Board refused. Later, the BAAQMD wrote its own regulation to overrule our Board of Supervisors’ decision.
Site Erosion Regulations- Napa County Construction Site Runoff Control Requirements Napa County Public Works Department proposed new construction site erosion control regulations for approval by the Board of Supervisors.
General Plan Revision To resist potential mischief against property owners and property rights inherent in any General Plan revision, several NVLSA members participated on the Napa County General Plan Review Committee.
Angwin Eco-Village In an effort to preserve Pacific Union College’s property rights, NVLSA argued successfully against General Plan changes that would have pre-empted PUC’s proposed development without public hearings on the merits of the project.
Parks and Open Space District Many NVLSA members opposed the formation of the new District, but voters approved it anyway, as Measure I.
Napa Valley Trails NVLSA refused to endorse the project for fear that eminent domain or other coercive measures would eventually be used against property owners not wishing to grant easements.
Lot Line Adjustment Ordinance NVLSA participated in, stakeholder meetings to discuss and help write the new ordinance.
