What you can do

How can you help? Easily. Just speak up at every opportunity. Write, phone, fax, or e-mail your Supervisor. Contact information for all five Napa County Supervisors is listed below. Write letters to the Editor. Contact information for the newspapers is also listed below. Attend the public hearings and say what you think. Don't worry if you're not a confident public speaker; even U.S. presidents use teleprompters. Just write out your statement in advance and read it aloud, like the rest of us do. If you are not comfortable doing that, just come and fill those seats to support the rest of us, and clap when we say something you like. If you can't attend the hearings, then send in your written comments for inclusion in the public record. It all helps, it's all important, and we need all we can get.

Beyond that, be alert for calls for volunteers. Offer your time and skills when asked. We are all volunteers here, and the more help we can get, the easier it is for all of us. When we need money to finance a special project, contribute if you can. We have no treasury, and no endowment. When we need money for a project, we must raise it quickly, or the project simply dies.

Contribute your ideas by participating in the e-mail exchanges, where we conduct virtually all of our business. We need your input, your insight, your creativity. Because synergistic effects make the whole greater than the sum of its parts, there is no limit to what we can accomplish working together.
